Just a few weeks before the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show, ITB Berlin, kicks off, the event is nearly fully booked. With nearly 90% of the exhibition area already occupied, the show is experiencing massive demand from international exhibitors.

Diverse Exhibitors Reflect Global Importance

The exhibitor lineup is diverse, featuring a notable increase in participants from the Host Country Oman and other Arab states, as well as Turkey, Greece, Asia, Africa, and various sectors like mobility, tech, and cruise industries. Noteworthy returnees include Emirates Airlines and Liechtenstein, joined by newcomers such as Disney, São Tomé and Principe, and Air India.

Highlights and New Additions

After undergoing renovations, visitors can now enjoy a circular tour of the exhibition grounds. Key highlights include a new focus on German-speaking countries in hub27, the introduction of ITB MICE HUB in Hall 8.2, and the debut of ITB Sustainability Lounge in Hall 4.1.

Prospects for ITB Berlin 2024

As the event approaches from March 5 to 7, 2024, the outlook is exceptionally promising. Embracing the theme #ITBTOGETHER, the B2B platform aims to represent the entire tourism industry value chain. So far, exhibitors from 165 countries and territories have confirmed their participation across 27 halls, the Marshall Haus, and the Palais am Funkturm.

Focus on German-speaking countries in hub27

Building on the success of 2023, hub27’s spotlight this year is on German-speaking countries, Slovenia, and Liechtenstein. Germany, Austria, and transport companies like Deutsche Bahn and Fraport contribute to the vibrant atmosphere. Notably, AIDA impresses with its leading brands in the cruise industry.

Increased International Presence

ITB Berlin 2024 showcases a strong international presence, with significant demand from exhibitors in Greece, Eastern Europe, the former CIS countries, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas. The Arab states, particularly Oman, stand out with doubled display areas. Newcomers like São Tomé and Principe, China, and the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion add to the event’s global appeal.

Booming Segments: Mobility, Cruise, and Travel Tech

In addition to national displays, ITB Berlin 2024 accommodates individual exhibitors representing the Hospitality, Mobility, Cruise, and Travel Tech segments. Halls 9 and 25 host prominent names, including hotel chains, online platforms, airlines, and cruise operators.

Innovative Travel Tech Exhibits

In Halls 5.1, 6.1, 7.1c, 8.1, and 10.1, the Travel Tech segment boasts exhibits from over 30 countries, showcasing forward-looking products and ideas. The variety ranges from established companies to emerging startups, emphasizing innovation in hospitality and technology.

New Additions: Culture Lounge, MICE HUB, and Sustainability Lounge

Hall 8.2 now houses the Culture Lounge and introduces the ITB MICE HUB, a space for MICE providers at ITB Berlin. Hall 4.1 features the ITB Sustainability Lounge, focusing on youth and adventure travel and responsible tourism. The ITB Career Center, Medical and Health Tourism, and the LGBTQ+ Tourism Pavilion offer specialized areas with diverse exhibits.

Exclusive Spaces: HOME of LUXURY and ITB Buyers Circle Lounge

The HOME of LUXURY at the Marshall Haus serves as an exclusive meeting place for luxury travel exhibitors and buyers. The ITB Buyers Circle Lounge, this year located in the Palais am Funkturm, continues to attract high-quality applicants worldwide. The ITB Buyers Circle Lounge is sponsored by the Omran Group from Oman, the Host Country.

Enhanced Technology: ITBxplore Platform and App
